UK: Man charged with cyber crime – Milton Keynes

The South East Regional Organised Crime Unit  (SEROCU) reports that a man has been charged with cyber crime offences. Liam Keenan, aged 20, of Century Avenue, Milton Keynes, was charged on 12 August 2020 with the following:

  • Between 14 January and 13 March he committed unauthorised acts with intent to impair operation of or prevent / hinder access to a computer contrary to section 3(1) and (6) of the Computer Misuse Act 1990.

  • On 21 February he sent a letter / communication / article conveying a threatening message contrary to section 1(1)(a) and (4) of the Malicious Communications Act 1988.

He was released on bail, and is due to appear at Milton Keynes Magistrates Court on September 21.
