The municipality of Jijona/Xixona in Spain has issued a notice about a cyberattack, but there are not many details.
The notice on their web site, posted on April 23, says that the attack has seriously crippled city services (translated):
The technicians are trying to reset the computer system and we hope we can fix it as soon as possible.For any questions, you can contact the City Council through the telephone number of the switchboard 965610300. We also keep active social networks and the information service by WhatsApp.We apologize for any inconvenience this situation may be causing.
There is no indication as to the nature of the attack or if there has been any ransom demand.
