The Memorial Hermann Health System is notifying patients of a cyberattack that could impact thousands.
One of their contracted vendors, Advent Health Partners, announced a cybersecurity issue Tuesday. According to the health system, the protected health information (PHI) for 6,260 patients have been breached.

Advent Health Partners also reported the breach to the California Attorney General’s Office on January 6 and to HHS. Their report to HHS indicated that 1,383 patients were impacted, but it is not clear from HHS’s public list whether this was just the number for one covered entity. Based on today’s news, it appears to be and we may see other reports coming in involving Advent Health Partners.
