TN: Humphreys County sheriffs arrest two for forgery, identity theft, outstanding felony warrants

Posted on April 10, 2022 by Dissent

Darby McCarthy reports:

Early Saturday morning, Humphreys County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Team B Nights arrested Letia Leco of Camden and Richard Flowers of Jackson on charges of forgery, identity theft and outstanding felony warrants from multiple jurisdictions.

Leco and Flowers were found at a hotel in Buffalo with several hundred forged commercial bank checks, over 30 debit cards, four stolen identities including birth certificates, printers and other evidence of serious financial crimes.

This does not appear to be Ms Leco’s first arrest. The August, 2021 arrest wasn’t the first time law enforcement pursued her, either, as news reported at the time that she “was found to have numerous outstanding arrest warrants out of Graves, Marshall, and Lyon Counties.”

Available media coverage of the newest arrest doesn’t indicate how Ms Leco or Mr Flowers were able to allegedly acquire all the identity information.
