Martin University in Indianapolis disclosed that they were hit by a ransomware attack on January 3, 2022, and have been investigating the incident since then.
As is often the case with these attacks, the university was unable to determine whether there had been actual access to files with personal information. As a result, they are notifying current or former students of Martin or prospective students between January 2017 and January 2022. They realize, however, that they may not have been able to identify all those who need notification, and anyone who falls into that time frame who has not been notified can call them at 1-800-939-4170 to enroll in complimentary identity protection services.
Their press release points people to the university’s website for more information, but as of the time of this publication, we could not spot any notice on that site.
