Note that DMS Health Technologies first disclosed this breach on June 16, 2023 on its website and it was reported in the media then. At that time, they disclosed on behalf of Avera Health and stated that 1,500 were affected.
So if they disclosed on June 16, when did they first notify Sanford Health and why did it take them until mid-September to disclose for Sanford — three months after they reported for Avera? And are there any other covered entities affected by the DMS Health Technologies breach that DMS has yet to disclose for?
DataBreaches has sent an inquiry to Sanford to ask when DMS first notified them and provided them with info needed to make notifications. This post will updated when more information is received.
