The $400 million sale of Waterbury, Rockville, and Manchester hospitals to Yale New Haven Health is in jeopardy as officials from the latter group are raising concerns about the condition of the hospitals they are slated to acquire, particularly following a data breach last month.
California-based Prospect Medical Holdings — the parent company of Eastern Connecticut Health Network, which operates Rockville General and Manchester Memorial hospitals — was the target of a cyberattack that compromised patients’ confidential data and resulted in financial fallout that is impacting care.
