The Express Tribune reports:

Hacking group Anonymous has claimed responsibility for a large-scale cyberattack on Russian networks, releasing what it says is 10 terabytes of leaked data containing sensitive information on political figures, state-affiliated businesses, Kremlin assets abroad, and even files allegedly linked to US President Donald Trump.

The data was released on 15 April and announced publicly via the group’s official account on X, formerly known as Twitter. In the post, Anonymous stated: “In defence of Ukraine Anonymous has released 10TB of leaked data on all businesses operating in Russia, all Kremlin assets in the West, pro-Russian officials, Donald Trump, and more.”

Accompanying the post was a photo of file folders, one of which was labelled “Leaked Data of Donald Trump.”

Read more at The Express Tribune, keeping in mind that no reliable sources have as yet validated any of the contents of the leak. It would not be surprising to eventually learn that some files are fake or corrupted for political purposes.

    This supposed leak isn’t real at all. It is a fraction of the “10TB” claimed and consists entirely of already-scraped or publicly accessible information. This needs to be corrected.
