In a shocking revelation, the Senate Standing Committee on Interior was told that hackers have defrauded several members of Parliament of hundreds of thousands of rupees through online scams.
During the committee meeting, chaired by Senator Faisal Saleem, it was disclosed that hackers managed to deceive various parliamentarians, extracting large sums of money. Senator Saifullah Abro said that the hacker group typically demands amounts ranging between Rs500,000 and Rs550,000.
Hackers reportedly withdrew Rs850,000 from Senator Dilawar Khan’s account, while Senator Falak Naz Chitrali lost Rs500,000 in two separate transactions.
