His 80-year-old mother’s medical records were left on a City bus and Darrel Davy isn’t satisfied with Interior Health’s explanation.
Davy said Thursday his mother was admitted to Royal Inland Hospital on May 23 and released three days later.
She’s feeling better, but he’s been upset since she got a registered letter from Interior Health on Tuesday saying a record containing some of her health information was accidentally left on a City bus on May 25.
The letter specified her name, date of birth, address, personal health number, hospital unit and account number were in the file. It turns out, she’s not alone. The document on the bus was a list with 83 patients’ names, health numbers and other personal data.
