The U.S. Attorney’s Office says a woman preyed on people who were down on their luck and looking for work.
On Wednesday, prosecutors announced charges against Chantay Ware, 26. Ware was indicted on one count each of access device fraud and aggravated identity theft.
According to investigators, Ware worked for HMS Host, which operated the Starbucks inside Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. The government alleges Ware used her position to collect employment applications and then opened more than 65 credit card accounts in different names. Ware is accused of racking-up more than $115,000 in bills between February of 2006 and November of 2008.
