New mobile healthcare app to track medications and refills seeking beta-testers

Posted on December 9, 2013 by Dissent

A Greenville-based company, Apothesource, is seeking prospective beta-testers for a new mobile application called ‘Pill-Fill’.

Pill-Fill™ takes an entirely new approach to managing medications, doctors and pharmacies. The app manages and consolidates all of this information for its users automatically. In as little as 30 seconds, Pill-Fill builds an always up-to-date list of the most important and personalized healthcare information. It builds upon new patent-pending technology to seamlessly integrate data from all of its users’ existing healthcare accounts with dozens of trusted health care sources to provide users a simple, highly secure health profile that is accessible across Android and iOS devices – all with zero data entry.

Now regular readers know I do not promote commercial products or generally even mention them on this site unless they’ve got a security or privacy concern. In this case, I’m making an exception because I spent about an hour on the phone with Michael Ramirez, the founder and app developer, a few months ago and was not only impressed by the app’s features,  but I was favorably impressed by his commitment to data security and privacy. Indeed, if you explore the app’s web site, you’ll see a whole detailed section on data security and another section in the FAQ on how your data are protected and not shared. You can also read their privacy policy.

To learn more about the ‘Pill-Fill’ app or to become a private-beta tester for the Apothesource, go to www.pill-fill.com. Right now, only Android users can beta-test, but the app will be expanded in the future.
