He thought it was trash, but it turned out to be a whole lot more.A file cabinet filled with dozens of files containing people’s personal information was dumped in a dumpster behind a Shelbyville gas station.
A teenager found it last week. His father called police and 24-Hour News 8.
“It’s metal, he takes it in and tries to sell it to make extra cash,” Chris Admans said of his son’s discovery.
Inside were copies of social security cards, drivers licenses and other personnel documents. Most of them are connected to former employees of Murphy USA gas station.
