A major Canadian government website malfunctioned and publicly displayed the personal information of about 75 people, CBC News has learned.
A glitch in the Service Canada “Access Key” site, a new website launched by the government on Sept. 26 that aims to be a “one-stop shop” for Canadians to manage benefits such as employment insurance and pension plans, allowed some users to see the information of other users.
That information included social insurance numbers and banking information.
