Laptops believed to contain taxi drivers’ personal details were stolen from a Merseyside council building.
Twenty-one computers, together worth thousands of pounds, are believed to have also contained the names, addresses, dates of birth and national insurance numbers of cab drivers.
Details of environmental health inspections were also stored on the Knowsley council systems, a town hall worker claimed.
Burglars escaped with the haul after breaking into Kirkby municipal buildings, in Cherryfield Drive, in the early hours of Thursday June 16.
