Jordan Fenster reports that a computer stolen in May has not been recovered:
Three months after a computer containing the personal information of thousands of city residents was stolen from a public library, the information has not been recovered and no arrests have been made.
On May 18, a laptop used by an employee for the city’s Elderly Services Department was stolen from the Mitchell Branch Library. Contained in the laptop’s memory was the personal information — names, addresses, Social Security numbers, dates of birth and other tidbits — of 21,000 participants in the state’s Rent Rebate program.
