Last month I tweeted about a rash of burglaries where thieves were stealing computers from Salina, Kansas businesses. Samantha Anderson reports that there have been more burglaries since then:
Two businesses had computer or computer parts stolen over the weekend. One of those businesses was American Family Insurance.

Other businesses hit in the last month are Glam On The Go, Accounts Receivable Services, All-State Insurance, Cross Midwest Tire, The Book Nook, and Heartland Adjustment. All of the stores had computer or parts stolen.

While it’s all somewhat worrying, at least clients of American Family Insurance may not have as much to fear, as a spokesman told the news station, “Our computers are on lock down,” Wells said. “They are encrypted as soon as they are unplugged, cut out or anything.”
