The credibility of government’s information system is being questioned after important data was stolen from the office of Balochistan Inspector General of Prisons.
According to sources, the data was stored in the hard disks of the computer situated inside the office of the IG. The data related to the information of suspects held for allegation of serious crimes.
Another news source reports arrests have already been made in what appears to be an insider breach:
A case has been registered in Saddar Police Station against five administration officials.
Jumping into action, police held one accused, whereas an admin officer, an accountant and a warden, who face charges of theft and professional negligence, got themselves bail before arrest.
