An error by the federal court in Maryland resulted in medical information being accessible on the web for about two weeks. Not much info was provided by WMDT, and it’s not clear why medical information would have been included in what sounds like warrants on 226 people that got publicly shared, but 42 SSN were also exposed.
Update of 3/27/09: Megan Greenwell of The Washington Post has more on the case. Apparently the patient data is related to an investigation of some physicians on insurance fraud.
