An almost-new computer was stolen from the FISH food bank on Water Street on Tuesday afternoon, according to staff.
Roger McCune, the food bank’s executive director, said staff members and volunteers were downstairs with two or three families who were getting food when the computer was taken from the building’s offices upstairs just after 5 p.m.
The desktop computer, purchased in late February for about $2,100, was the hub for all the data gathered at the food bank, including finances, volunteer information and client records.
