Documents containing personal information were found in a dumpster outside of an Arizona veteran housing complex. Video report.
According to the report, the records of approximately 150 veterans were found in a dumpster near U.S. Vets in Peoria, Arizona. U.S. Vets is a private non-profit organization providing housing, employment and counseling services to homeless and at-risk veterans.
Types of information included Social Security numbers, driver’s licenses, checking information, credit cards, Dept. of Correction IDs, military identification numbers, etc. – everything you’d need to steal someone’s identity. U.S. Vets did not get back to KPNX, who had contacted them about the find.
