Another case where records in a storage unit wind up in the wild when the owner falls behind on storage rent. News12 New Jersey reports:
Hundreds of old tax documents with personal information on them were found left out in the trash Tuesday in Edison.
The boxes, about 12 in all, were from Tax DRX, a Cranford-based company.
Hudson Etienne, owner of the tax firm, stated the records were lost because he fell behind on his storage payments and CubeSmart, where he had stored them, allegedly refused to allow him access so he could remove them and secure them. Police believe whoever bought the contents of the storage unit at auction just dumped them.
