Computer company sues gaming establishment and its employees over alleged software theft

Posted on December 3, 2015 by Dissent

Vimbai Chikomo reports:

The owner of a computer software company in Abita Springs is suing over claims of copyright infringement.

On Nov. 9, Glenn Golden, the owner of G2 Database Marketing Inc., filled a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Clear Advantage Marketing, Wild Rose Entertainment, Wild Rose Clinton, Wild Rose Emmetsburg, Dubuque Racing Association, Mark McKamey, Tim Bollmann and Harry Carstensen, citing fraud, conversion, violations of copyright law and other counts.

According to the claim, between 2007 to 2014, Wild Rose Entertainment was a licensed user of IDEA Data Warehouse software, Golden’s G2 licensed database software. Golden alleges that Bollmann, McKamey and Carstensen, long-time employees of Wild Rose, participated in the theft of the software when they took a copy of it to their new employers.
