The cyber attack on publicly-funded Network Janet has crashed networks at dozens if universities across the UK.
The hack has been linked to the terrorist group also known as Daesh.
Since Monday morning, a continued Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack has flooded the shared server with so much traffic the system has been unable to cope, leaving thousands of students unable to get online.
