The PD warned that, with an amendment to the Milleproroghe decree, the government is putting women’s privacy at risk. “With an amendment to the Milleproroghe decree, the government is launching an attack on women’s privacy, effectively putting it at risk. An article proposed by the government and voted yesterday by the Senate would allow the Health Ministry to request any information on female patients and their treatments from medically assisted reproduction (PMA) centres across Italy. These centres will be forced to provide such information to the ministry which, as a result, will have access to not just medical details, but also patients’ personal data, including details of their menstrual cycles and pregnancy,” PD senator Ignazio Marino said.
