A Nutley man and retired police officer, who admitted to selling personally identifiable information stolen from a law enforcement database, has been ordered to serve two years of probation for his role in the crime.
Superior Court Judge Michael L. Ravin cited 52-year-old retired Newark Police Officer Dino D’Elia’s four prior arrests and the need to deter others from similar crimes before handing down the sentence in Essex County Superior Court on Friday.
