The personal information of nearly 800 students who attended the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs could be at risk. A faculty member’s laptop was stolen on July 5 from their home. 766 students who attended UCCS between 2003 and 2009 were notified.
The information at risk includes social security numbers, along with students’ names and grades. UCCS is working with authorities to resolve the issue. As of now, there is no indication that anyone is using the students’ personal information.
