According to the Paulding County Sheriff’s office, Dr. Christopher Lockerman, of Lockerman Family Chiropractic, in Hiram was arrested Wednesday and charged with 8 counts of financial identity fraud and one count of theft by deception in a case that involves over $264,000.00 of identity theft.
Detectives said they were first made aware of this case in February when they uncovered thousands of dollars received from J.P. Morgan Chase Bank thru lines of credit established in the names of patients from Lockerman Family Chiropractic.
Detectives discovered that Lockerman would use his patients’ information to establish lines of credit with J.P. Morgan Chase Bank or other financial institutions and receive money from those accounts without permission, according to reports.
