Sky customers have been reacting with confusion and anger on Twitter as they receive emails from Sky informing them that they need to reset their passwords. Many customers thought, understandably, that this was a phishing email. However, the Sky Help Team responded by telling them that Sky will “occasionally reset the password for Sky accounts,” in order to “help keep customer accounts safe.” Sky support has told some customers that the reset was “part of the incident that happened last week.” The incident referenced appears to be a breach of email accounts. Yet it remains unclear exactly when this took place as that document is not dated.
