Muscat: Oman United Insurance Co SAOG, one among the largest insurers in the country has disclosed a “ransomware attack” on the company’s data centre early this month.
In a filing to the Capital Market Authority (CMO) on Thursday, the company revealed that its systems were attacked on January 1st and said it has “lost some data relating to the period from 10/12/2019 to 1/1/2020”, yet no “financial impact on the company’s results.”
