Improper disposal of medical waste can pose health risks. It can also breach privacy, as the Canadian Press reports:
Eastern Health is investigating how the waste — which consisted of three urine samples and eight vials of blood with patient names on them — ended up near a provincial government building along Prince Philip Drive on Monday.
The health board says the waste originated from the emergency department of the Health Sciences Centre.

Of course, we could come up with a nightmare scenario of how the samples and privacy breach could be misused, but does anyone really see a likely problem in this case with respect to the privacy aspect?
