It’s not often we see a breach report from North Dakota. Forum reports:
The North Dakota Workforce Safety & Insurance agency was a victim of a cybersecurity attack on June 28 that involved personal data, according to a statement released by WSI on Friday, Aug. 19.
According to the statement:
A Workforce Safety & Insurance employee noticed unusual activity on their computer after opening an email attachment and reported the incident to the internal help desk.

WSI also published some FAQs about the incident. They note that 182 injured employees had personal information in the emails and voicemails associated with the compromised email account. The FAQ is very clearly written in terms of what is known and what is not known.
