IN: Thousands Of Patients’ Information Compromised In Data Breach

Posted on February 1, 2019 by Dissent

Sierra Hignite reports:

A data breach at Valley Professionals Health Care may have affected all seven of its health care locations, including their mobile site.

Plus, personal information from thousands of patients has been compromised.

It started when an employee received an email in late November that they believed to be from another health care organization that they had worked with in the past.

However, it is now suspected that, in fact, it was a phishing email that resulted in the information of more than 12 thousands patients being at risk.

“There is about a 90 percent chance that it was a phishing email from another colleague from another health center,” says CEO, Terry Warren.
