Jeff Cole reports:
The New York State Department of Health confirms there has been a cyberattack within the St. Lawrence Health System, which operates Canton-Potsdam and Gouverneur hospitals.
Ambulances were being diverted and computer systems were down — at least at some point. This sounds like a ransomware attack but the health system has not confirmed it yet, and there are no notices on either of the two hospitals’ sites with any information or updates.
This is a developing story and will be updated. The St. Lawrence Health system also operates Massena Hospital, but there is no mention of that one in the news story as being impacted.
