In a recent interview with Yelisey Boguslavskiy, “UNKN” of the threat actors known as REvil (Sodinokibi) indicated that they were planning a major attack on a gaming network.
Today, the threat actors added GPI (Gaming Partners International) to their dedicated leak site. GPI describes itself as a leading provider of casino currency and table game equipment worldwide.
As they have done in other incidents, the threat actors posted screen shots showing directories of files on allegedly compromised systems.
They gave GPI 72 hours to respond, stating:
Absolutely all servers and working computers of the company are hacked and encrypted. There was a large data leak 540Gb of the most important information of the company, technical data, financial documents, contracts with ALL CASINO in LAS-VEGAS, MACAO, EUROPE, bank documents.
DataBreaches.net reached out to GPI for a statement, but did not receive an immediate reply. This post will be updated when one is received.
