The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration has announced the final results of the investigation into last month’s information breach.
A review of all documents related to the investigation revealed 16 clients had their full social security numbers shared, while nearly 50 other clients had other types of personal information disclosed. The FSSA initially alerted more than 187,000 clients of the security breach.
As a result of the investigation and findings, RCR Technologies, the company responsible for the computer error that led to the breach, will pay for credit monitoring for those directly impacted.
