It’s difficult not to feel bad for someone like Fred Wilkie. The Hudson resident says he normally makes an effort to shred all his personal documents in order to guard against identity theft.
So he was particularly disappointed to learn Tuesday that some of his confidential personal and financial information was found scattered across Amherst Street earlier that day – through no fault of his own.
The wayward paperwork – which included his home address, date of birth, telephone number and the last four digits of his Social Security number – originated from an Aspen Dental office in Nashua.
Apparently, sometime after the documents were placed in a trash bag and picked up by a local trash hauler, a ripped bag containing the records of about 60 patients was discovered near the intersection of Amherst Street and Somerset Parkway.
