Police say they’ve broken up a large identity theft operation based out of an airport hotel. Airport police along with the Boone County Sheriff’s Office and U.S. Secret Service arrested six people Friday. All six are charged with organzied crime and trafficking in stolen identities.
According to an airport spokesperson, the investigation started following a traffic stop on Donaldson Road. The officer reportedly found documents that led to a search warrant.

It’s amazing how often traffic stops lead to uncovering ID theft rings. If these criminals were better drivers, law enforcement might never catch them.
