Creative Banner Assemblies notifies some customers after malware may have extracted their information

Posted on August 29, 2013 by Dissent

Sign-Zone Inc., dba Creative Banner Assemblies, also had a recent malware problem, it seems. They have notified 232 customers that their unencrypted names, addresses, phone numbers, and credit card numbers with CVV codes may have been extracted after malware was inserted on or about June 1.  The unencrypted data were in temporary files while the orders were being processed.

The breach was discovered on July 22, and the firm offered those affected a year of free services from ITAC Sentinel Plus.
