A Loyola University Medical Center employee has been charged with identity theft.
MySuburbanLife.com reports that Riverside police charged Katrina R. Spears of Chicago with one count of felony identity theft. The charges followed an investigation that began in August following a complaint from a patient who reported her identity was stolen after being treated at the medical center in Maywood.
It is not clear whether there were any other victims or if this was an isolated incident.
Spears allegedly had merchandise purchased with the stolen information shipped to an address on her block.
