Ca: Stolen laptop contains sensitive health data

Police are looking for a man who stole a laptop from a Welland doctor’s office that contains sensitive health data.

On Feb. 24,  members of the Niagara Regional Police responded to a medical office in Welland for a theft complaint.

Investigation revealed that an unknown suspect entered a medical office and stole a silver and black heavy duty HP Toughbook laptop.

“The laptop contains sensitive health data that has yet to been diagnosed and it is important to have this computer recovered as soon as possible,” said Det. Const. Jake Virag in a press release.
