At Beau Chene High School in Louisiana this year, you could study diligently to raise your grades—or else just know a hacker described by a classmate as “a cool dude.” The cool dude, an unidentified senior, managed to get into the school’s computer system to change dozens of grades, reports the Daily World. He allegedly raised the grades of friends, and changed others in exchange for money or, according to one student, sexual favors. He may have lowered some, too.
A suspicious parent raised the alarm to school authorities, who finally figured out what was going on. At least 45 kids have been suspended so far.
