The Star Press in Indiana reports:
An FBI agent doubts that the thefts of the Social Security numbers of dozens of high-paid Ball State University employees occurred as the result of an invasion of the university’s computer systems.
“I don’t think there was a breach (at BSU),” FBI agent Neal Freeman told The Star Press after he and an FBI computer specialist briefed about 50 university employees on identity theft and tax refund fraud on Wednesday.
