A local business that’s closing shop might have placed its recently laid off employees at risk for identity theft, Channel 9 learned.
Dozens of employees were laid off from Sun Road, an underground utility company, a few weeks ago and their private information was just tossed into a dumpster.
Owner Alfredo Bacci is accused of carelessly tossing his former employee’s personal information into the trash while clearing out his business. Bacci said he did not toss the documents in the trash.
