A pastor said hackers locked him out of his computer on Tuesday, demanding money in exchange for files.
Andy Wood from Potters Hill Missionary Baptist Church said hackers demanded over $700 to unlock the computer, without even guaranteeing he would get his files back. He faced the possibility of losing over 700 sermons from over 30 years, as well as personal credit card and banking information.
But the thing that bothered him the most was the possibility of having personal information about his church members exposed.
