Indiana Medicaid patients warned of possible data breach

If you’re a Medicaid member in Indiana, you could be receiving a letter about a possible data breach involving your personal information.

According to DXC Technology, the fiscal agent for the Indiana Health Coverage Program (IHCP), an internet hyperlink containing patient information was potentially accessible between February and May of 2017.

The information included patient’s names, Medicaid ID numbers, names and addresses of the health care providers, patient numbers, procedure codes, dates of service, and payment amounts.

The state’s Family and Social Services Administration is the administrator of Medicaid in Indiana.
