FR: Lactalis discloses it was the victim of a cyberattack

France Bleu reports (translation):

The agri-food group Lactalis, based in Laval (Mayenne) is now part of the long list of companies victims of cyberattacks. The group announced in a short press release on Friday that a ” malicious third party [sought to break into ” their servers. ” We immediately took measures to contain this attack and we notified the competent authorities “, assures the group. To avoid other intrusions and guarantee the security of its customers, Lactalis claims to restrict its access to the public Internet network. 

Read more on France Bleu.  The firm’s press release of February 26 is reproduced below.  It sounds like they may have thwarted any attack before any actual data breach occurred, but that’s not clear at this point.
