Envision Credit Union may have been the latest victim of an apparent ransomware attack, a malicious software that disrupts computer systems until demands are met.
Initial signs of a potential attack surfaced this week on social media and indicated the LockBit 2.0 ransomware group threatened to publish stolen data on Aug. 30, according to Datminr, a New York-based company that uses artificial intelligence to alert potential breaches.
