BREAKING: BreachForums owner “Pompompurin” arrested

Posted on March 17, 2023November 1, 2024 by Dissent

Bob Van Voris and William Turton report:

Federal agents have arrested a Peekskill, New York, man they say ran the notorious dark web data-breach site “BreachForums” under the name “pompompurin.”

Conor Brian Fitzpatrick was arrested by a team of investigators at his home around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, FBI Special Agent John Longmire said in a sworn statement filed in court the next day. Fitzpatrick is charged with a single count of conspiracy to commit access device fraud.

Pom was charged in the Southern District of New York, Case:

US v. Fitzpatrick, 23-cr-2171, US District Court, Southern District of New York (Manhattan).

But I also found a case against him in the Eastern District of Virginia:

Case 1:23-mj-00067-JFA  United States of America vs. Conor Brian Fitzpatrick.

From the court docket in that case: the criminal complaint cover sheet and the first sheet of the complaint, as well as the affidavit.
