Posted on May 9, 2024 by Dissent

Purvi Khemani reports:

A Reddit user recently shared a troubling experience on the platform. They claimed they were fired from TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) after reporting a security issue. Using the handle @Personal_Stage4690, they posted on the ‘Developers India’ subreddit, saying, “I reported a security incident in tcs where my manager ware (was) making employees use their personal laptops and sharing login credentials. According (to) the tcs whistleblower policy no action can be taken against (the) whistleblower but today i received a suspension notice.”

They also explained that due to their strained relationship with HR and their manager, they felt they couldn’t rely on them for support. “

DataBreaches emailed TCS yesterday to inquire about the allegations and to request a statement, but no reply has been received by publication.
